What are these handheld camera stands called?

okay, so i'm an active youtube watcher. i love people vlogging about stuff. i've also noticed that some people have their cameras on a special stand that they hold in their hand (not a tripod). i really want one myself, so i went to a few camera stores & tried to explain this to them, but they kept showing me to where the tripods were located within the store. i was wondering if they had a special name or something. the camera stores i've been too tell me that there is no such invention even though i've specifically told them i've seen them being used in certain videos shown on youtube. i can't find any photos around of what i'm trying to explain to you, except one that is similar, i guess.

what i have in mind isn't that complex looking. its just a handle that the hand (used for vlogging) holds onto...

It is interesting that you want to buy a steady-cam and don't even know what it is called

Do you really have a use for one?

They were designed to be used in the motion picture industry to allow hand held shots using usually a 16 mm Arriflex. The effect caused by the SteadCam was to evoke an atmosphere of authentic immediacy or "cinéma vérité" during dramatic sequences of a film

Here is the link to a company that sells the SteadyCam

If you're using a DSLR, you could try a Flycam.

Smaller, lighter than a Steadicam proper.
