What are you doing right now?

learning to wrap my hands

also tian-tian, how's the spider bite recovery going? any improvement in the last hour and a half?

Yay wrapping hands!

No, no improvement. If anything, it feels like it's worse; my face keeps getting randomly itchy in places that don't make sense. My nose is still congested and runny and my eyes are literally red and swollen and watery. Still have a slight wheeze, but that at least is manageable. I've tried salt water up my nose (hardly got any up there) and hot towels over my eyes. Even tried a steaming bowl of water with a towel over my head. No improvement; the bite is really tender to the touch.

Also, I'm REALLY exhausted but can't sleep.

procrastinating. I'm supposed to be mixing cement and sand to do pointing as we speak. Normally, I'd be keen, but it's not as if the old sod ever bothers paying me. So I'm thinking up vaguely unpleasant one-liners

damn

i would suggest going to a doctor... sounds like a nasty allergic reaction.

Dude, I pretty much stopped breathing; "nasty allergic reaction" is the understatement of the century.

I'm seriously thinking about heading to the doctor; I really don't want to rack up another medical bill, though. At the same time, the bite area isn't swelling; I just have this red spot where I got bit. There's a dark center area that looks like a fang mark, but it is really hard to tell. A tiny wolf spider, maybe?

At the very least, go to a chemist and get yourself some antihistamine pills and some cream to put on the bite.

That's a good idea. I think I'll try that. Going to wait a few hours to see if the bite area gets any worse; my symptoms are otherwise holding steady.

failing utterly to do all the things I thought I'd get done today, and going on the internet instead.

Trying to get my CV updated, pick which of three apprenticeships I've applied for I'd rather take and memorise some things about Caterpillar ready for an interview tomorrow.

Writing the new syllabus into a neat document to hand out to the students next week.
