Ok I would like to know your guys opinion on this. And serious riders only please. I'm bout to buy a bike next friday. I choosing between a 2003 yamaha r6 or a 2006 suzuki gsxr 600. The yamaha has about 12000 miles full exhaust has power commander chip thing and a few extra things. this yamaha my friend is selling it to me for 3000. The gixxer has 5300 miles on it and is completely stock. Only thing is tht its missing the right fairings. But my other friend is selling it to me for 2700. So its a lil cheaper. Which one is a better deal?
Also I'm a 5'10" 210 lb guy which one would you guys think would be suitable for me? all serious opinions please. And any info you have I would appreciate it. Thanx

Both bikes should suit you equally well, without fairings or 'the right' fairings though i'd say go with the Yama. Only because the gixxer is designed to have fairings (and if it doesn't it's probably been dropped) and you'll probably be paying to have them replaced eventually.
p.s. the r6 sounds like a weapon. 12000 miles isn't that bad but a full service before purchase would be good if it could be arranged.

they are both great bikes, i currently own a 02 gsxr 1000, and have been riding streetbikes since i was 14 with no licence, and have owned many bikes, now down to business.
I love yamaha's, there a great handling bike, and i love the looks, the mods on that bike are nice, and ridden corectly the bike will see 100,000 more miles easily as will the gsxr, however if you buy the gsxr and shop smart, on e-bay/craigslist for a new lower fairing, the gixxer is worth more money and is the smarter buy, i am assuming there is no other damage, but since your asking the question your asking, i recommend the yamaha, its all in one piece, and thats a normal price for it
P.S.
approach the yamaha guy with 2700 in cash, he wont say no, if he does, teach him a lesson and buy the gixxer
