About to start school this fall and so far Im leaning towards a Recreation, Parks and Tourism degree because I love the outdoors..but what are some plausible applications to the real world?

From my experience earning my degree in parks and recreation, it's not just about parks per se. You get a broad spectrum of education that could easily be transferred to just about any kind of industry. Get get training in facilities, maintenance, law, customer service, natural resources, ethics, business, management, supervision, program design, teaching, interpretation, therapeutic recreation, computer use, human resources, outdoor skills etc...
