What CD/DVD burning software best fits my needs?

I have a lot of data (music, videos and pictures). I'm always afraid to lose them and I want to back up in DVD's. I do graphic design and as such, I have all this clipart and projects that clutters my HD. I was first thinking of Nero but then, some people prefer Roxio. I don't care for all the "blows and whistles" that some program features may have. I prefer something that is not complicated to use yet, reliable. Thanks!
I apologize for not adding the details. Here you go: Windows 7 Home Premium, AMD Athlon 2.70 GHz, 6 gigs of memory on a 64-bit OS.

Actually one of the easiest to use is free - Ashampoo Burning Studio

it has a clean interface and is simple to follow - see here

For reliability nothing beats UNIX. Cdrtools has been maintained by Joerg Schilling since the '90s and it will burn anything reliably unless abused. You haven't said what system you use and it's always safe to assume Windows. There is a simple front-end for Windows called InfraRecorder:

I'm told this is a decent front-end for the Mac:

The third party interfaces are pretty intuitive and the programs do exactly what you tell them to. You should have no trouble.
