It has a bronzy patena but is made of 70% copper, 25% tin, trace amounts of lead, zinc, arsenic, gold and silver.

I think the picture below is accurate and the way I remember it.

Differences in the pictures you have seen showing it different colors have to do with poor photo development or the photographer not adjusting his cameras light exposure correctly.
