They don't agree with violence or killing so they would think it's wrong, they usually have a stance of absolute morality on this stuff, remember "Thou shalt nor murder". I think he should have killed him though

Killing an enemy combatant in war is not murder. God used war many times in the Old Testament, as many people here have pointed out over and over and over again.
I don't think the guy was being very smart. I gotta give him points for ambition, though.
