Mini DVI to HDMI, assuming your TV has HDMI. Then either a 1/8" to RCA audio cable or a minijack optical to TOSlink cable if you have a receiver or TV with optical audio input.

I don't know the difference between dvi to hdmi or dvi to vga. I don't know what these are. Can anyone tell me specifically what cables I need for both video and audio? Any other helpful info will also be appreciated! Thanks! I searched google but it gave me a whole bunch of different answers (and cables).

u are going to need a audio out cable where one side is like a headphone jack and the other is a red and white cable. And if its as old as u say u may need either a mini display port to vga or display port to vga. Then u get one of those blue leads that pc's use to connect the monitor to the harddrive a vga cord to connect from the adaptor to the tv.
