What do I need to do to make tryout for my school basketball team?

ok so im trying out for my 8th grade junior high basketball team (boys) and I'm a afraid I might not make cuz I'm a good three point shooter but when i shoot it looks funny but I shoot really well will my coach teach me how to shoot better? And I'm really fast and im good at layups so what do I need to do to make it YouTube videos are not working for me right now
