What do you do to prove that you're a Christian?

I heard those who believe in Jesus are true Christian.

But, is believe alone is enough? Do you need to do anything such as prayer or something?

Say, if you do all sins and at the last moment of your life, when you're about to die, you say you believe Jesus. Would that enough to guarantee pass to heaven?

"Christian" is a name derived from that of Christ himself. The name refers to all those who have been anointed through the gift of the Holy Spirit in Baptism. Therefore the followers of Christ, the members of the Christian Church. Believing in Jesus is not enough. Saying you believe in Jesus will not absolve you from your sins. The Sacrament of Reconciliation, instituted by Christ, is necessary for the forgiveness of all grave sins.

Only God knows. I wouldn't want to take the chance. It is not enough to SAY that you believe. If you truly believe, you will obey his commandments and live a holy life before men. Yes, we make mistakes. But, openly everyday sin is not the will of God in our lives. To claim to be a Christian and openly sin is putting Jesus to an open shame.
Heb*6:6
If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
1Jo*2:3
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

Belief and faith are great but we really need to live as Heavenly Father has directed us to live.

But a believe that if someone accepts Christ on their deathbed with an honest heart I believe it is enough to ensure that Heavenly Father will accept you home.

Ok, as a Christian, I don't like it when people have the attitude, "I can sin as much and as often as I want. I'll just repent on my deathbed." Jesus didn't die on the cross so you could sin, and carry on without changing your ways until you're about to leave this world.
Heaven is supposed to be an endless celebration, where you come face to face with your creator. Think of the best party you've ever been to- and multiply that by 100,000! All your friends and family who were believers and who have passed on will be there. I think that keeping this in mind can help people to lead better lives.
I have the belief that God gives everyone a second chance. If a sinner dies, I believe that God/Jesus may give them a choice to enter heaven anyway, because he loves us that much. But that's just my opinion, and I know I could be very wrong.
Belief is enough. If you believe that Jesus died for you, it's enough. You don't have to shout your opinion and love for Him from rooftops (although the Bible encourages openness about your faith and love), but if you worship him, and believe he died so you could live, you will go to heaven.
Be joyous about it. You can go around and confidently say, "I'm going to heaven. I love Jesus, so I'm going." If you accept that he is your saviour, that is enough.

Stop "proving" your a christian, instead earn yourself the right to call yourself a christian by living in obedience with God and listen to Jesus' teachings. A captain has the right to be in the rank he is in because he earned that right and by his experiences in warfare. God doesn't owe us anything because we are sinners but its only by grace that we are saved by faith and belief in Christ Jesus alone for salvation.

Its not that we "earn" anything but God gives it to us (salvation along with good works) by his divine love and mercy on us (grace) it is a free gift by putting our faith in Jesus alone for salvation. After salvation James in the bible says, then the good works come that God gives us to work with (spiritual gifts) to accomplish his goal and purpose for us.

He gives us the tools to work with and its up to us what we do with them, to grow spiritually living off the word of God and God making us more "Christ-Like." We bring God glory/will by bringing his kingdom to earth as it is in heaven (thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.)

We walk in the spirit that keeps us on good ground, submitting to God and shunning temptations and or flesh (satan the tempter). We go from slaves to sin to slaves to righteousness (always wanting to do the right thing for God out of respect) as we feed out spirit Gods word that teaches us how to live. And God guides us along the way the more we grow with him as we rest in Christ Jesus laying our burdens, worries, and failings upon him and living in faith.

When we know God more (through his word) and his needs and wants, we crave to fulfill his needs and wants out of respect for him because of our love toward him (fear of God). So knowing God is very important because as much as we know our mother and her needs and wants we want to please her and listen to her.

Luke 23:30-43 (New Living Translation)

32 Two others, both criminals, were led out to be executed with him. 33 When they came to a place called The Skull,[c] they nailed him to the cross. And the criminals were also crucified—one on his right and one on his left.

34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.”[d] And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice.[e]

35 The crowd watched and the leaders scoffed. “He saved others,” they said, “let him save himself if he is really God’s Messiah, the Chosen One.” 36 The soldiers mocked him, too, by offering him a drink of sour wine. 37 They called out to him, “If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself!” 38 A sign was fastened to the cross above him with these words: “This is the King of the Jews.”

39 One of the criminals hanging beside him scoffed, “So you’re the Messiah, are you? Prove it by saving yourself—and us, too, while you’re at it!”

40 But the other criminal protested, “Don’t you fear God even when you have been sentenced to die? 41 We deserve to die for our crimes, but this man hasn’t done anything wrong.” 42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.”

43 And Jesus replied, “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

Y/A is not theright place to ask this question. Many different religions and beliefs gather on this place and there all going to give you there personal opinion. Where as mine has changed over the years some might even tell you that you have to be baptized to be a true believer. Some things will never be agreed upon between believers.

Praying and such helps your personal relationship with Him.

you do have to proove because the bible we have to be examples.
praying goes hand in hand with believing in God, you cant believe in God and not communicate with Him
unfortunately every second counts, when you do good, do it till the end
we dont know what heaven or hell looks like, we only believe in what the bible tells us
it says not all who says Lord, Lord will enter the heavens, only those who do the will of the Lord

we have hope that God might say, well my daughter since you've been a good Christian for 10 years and only committed a sin at the last minute before you died, i forgive you, come to heaven

it might be like that, it might not..... so i prefer to avoid sin at all cost

satan knows Jesus is real. you need to accept him as Lord and saviour and be willing to give your life to him
people should know you are Christian by your acts of Love for others.

You shouldn't have to do anything to prove that you follow a religion, just having it inside of you, honestly and sincerely should be enough proof for any one that would ever dare to challange you.
I don't think church makes a difference. Going to church doesn't make you any more christian than standing in your garage makes you a car.
If you beleive strongly enough in a religion, you'll pray to the gods/godesses/god anyway, and if youre about to die and you sddenly are like "arrrg i beleive in jesus, i repent" then you're generally just a weak, scared person who doesn't want to see the other side because they're scared of what they might find there.

well believing is one part but if u then want to really get to know God then ull read ure bible and pray. Then u really are a true christian. some people just believe that there is a God and call themselves christians.

beliveing is one part

No one who knew about Christ their whole life and didn't accept him as their savior until their deathbed is "saved" just because they said so. They were just afraid. And God WILL know the intent of your heart.

PS not everyone gets a deathbed. Sometimes its just over in the blink of an eye. Not really a gamble I'd want to take.
