What do you think about the Mayan's end of the world prediction?

According to the Mayans, the world will end in some way in 2012. The date of "The End" is December 23 (or 21), 2012. I'm not sure what to think of this. How they came to this conclusion, I don't have the slightest clue. But so far, everything the Mayans have predicted hs come true, with the predictions being off at 33 seconds (at the most.) Also, when they say"the end of the world", nobody can really be sure of what they mean; It could mean destruction, or just a new beginning(the prediction was made a long time ago). Pus, that is the date when the planet will complete it's irregular rotation AND when the sun, Earth, and the plane of the Milky Way Galaxy will aline.So what do you think of this prediction that happened many moons ago?
I forgot to say that maybe the destruction of the ancient Maya civilization and the end of the world might be linked somehow. What do you think? Please do not answer this one.
 
Have you heard about the rumblings in Yellowstone? 2012 sounds about right. And we thought the depression was bad!
 
I personally don't believe in any of that stuff, Nostradamus etc. In the Bible it says that God will come like a thief in the night, meaning that no one knows when He will return.
 
it will happen only if god wants it to. the mayans may be right. i'm not saying they aren't. i'm just stating what i believe
