What do you think of my science fiction story idea?

Its about a man who journeys into the future and finds that human scientists have created a first intelligent robot to help mankind with all of its struggles, Yet all goes wrong when the robot says humanity must be exterminated because they are not fit to survive then escapes and begins to build a grand cyborg race to destroy all humans.
 
I agree with JayJay. That wounds a little too much like "The Terminator" or something.
But, it's a good idea. Don't give up.
