though it was a gray area? that they were entitled to the space?
When a person blatantly pulls into a parking space right in front of you when you're clearly in that aisle waiting for the space it's clear cut that they stole the space. But when they're not in the aisle but instead are stopped in the roadway blocking traffic with a left turn signal on when the space is on the right they do not have the right to the space. If I'm in the aisle I'm entitled to the parking space. By time the car backs up and pulls out they've lost the space because I'm in the aisle and they're not and I'm in a much better position to make a left turn into the space. What's your opinion on the right to a parking space? Do you think that if they're not in the aisle but on the adjacent roadway they have a right to stop and signal for a space and block traffic.
I don't completely agree with you because there are black and white situations where someone was waiting for a space and another guy comes along five minutes later and pulls in in front of him. But anything else that's not blatant is the first one to pull into the space gets it.
