He stopped laughing. It seemed that he finally was beginning to remember something.
“What?” I quickly stood up and sat next to him on the couch. “What is it?”
He looked down and then up at me as though he was remembering something that he did’t believe.
“I just...” he sighed and clasped his fingers together and looked at them. He was examining them discreetly but I could still tell, he knew. “I just zoned in on him, it was like everything was heightened, my sight, hearing, everything.” He stood up and began to pace uncomfortably across the living room. “You.” He pointed at me melodramatically. If it had been any other time I would have laughed at him but now I could feel this burning sense of urgency tingling in my stomach that urged me to take him seriously.
“What? You saw her?”
“No I saw Adam, and then the sky, and then you, that’s it.” He shook his head and continued to pace. “But it was all different, everything was darker…but brighter, I-I can’t explain it. It was just like-like I could see everything more clearly, and anything I focused on would become so detailed in my mind that it was the only thing I could see. So all I saw was Adam, the sky, and you.” I was baffled. This was not something that I had ever heard of before so my immediate thoughts revolved around genetic mutations and shared psychosis.
