I have a DVD+RW and my computer tells me that I need to format the disc in order to play it. I never want to finalize the disc, because I am going to keep recording over it. I want to know what formatting does to the disc before it is too late.
udf format allows users to create, modify, and delete files and directories on demand on CD-RW&DVD-RW discs without the need to burn a whole disc.
This can be done with programs like Nero's InCD, Sonic's DLA, Roxio's Drag2Disc and DirectCD.
