What does oil in the carburetor mean on a four stroke dirt bike?

I have a ttr-225 yamaha im pretty sure i over filled the oil. So i went and stripped it apart and oil was in the carb mixed with the gas. But last night i changed the oil to the right level and empted the carb mixed with oil, and still it seems like the gas is not getting to the plug. I know my carburetor is getting gas. But i hate to buy a new carburetor and find out thats not the problem. Plus it takes two hours to get to. But it seems like thats my only option. Before all this it did run well but the pipe would over heat. wish i knew more, thanks for any suggestion!
 
Try doing a compression test on the cylinder. If the carb is getting gas, but not the cylinder, the compression is probably low, which means bad rings, or a damaged piston/cylinder.

Also if you didnt clean the carb properly, take it apart, and soak the body in solvent for awhile, then blow the passages out with air, or carb cleaner, and clean out all the jets and the needle valve. Reassemble it and see if you have fuel flow afterwards.

If your compression test comes out ok, then the carb is probably clogged up with oil.
