What does the blinking blue light on the Blackberry Storm mean?

My blackberry storm all of a sudden started blinking a blue light. Then I received a regular text message and start blinking the red light (which is normal for messages) and the blue light stopped. Was this a malfunction or did it mean something? Please help!!!
