"America will mobilize and raise $1 million in a month to save a beached whale (because it is considered helpless and innocent) and walk right on past a mentally ill woman talking to herself in a box. We don't respect, acknowledge or help the mentally ill unless there is a profit to be made in getting them on medication." Is it all about money and if there is a profit to be made?

Is the beached whale more valuable than the mentally ill homeless woman living in a cardboard box in the winter snow?

Can someone help me to understand?

Scuse me--might wish to check your facts. We used to take care of such people--until the ACLU said we were violating their rights--that we had no right to treat them unless they were a danger to society. Not about money dear--more about stupid liberal ideas. Sad thing is--a beached whale won't sue you for violating his right to beach himself.
