What Dual sport bike is best suited for me?

I'm looking to buy a dual sort bike and I have no clue which one to get. i want something bigger than a 250 but every thing I've looked at such as the drz400 is too tall for me even with lowering kit (I'm 5ft 7'). Also I'm relatively new to riding so a 650 would be over kill. could i just put knobby tires on a super moto?

im 5,8 and i ride a drz400e its a bit tall 2 start with but once u get used 2 it u will love it so mutch fun for a cheap bike
