I do a lot of mobile recording because I am working on a mocumentary type project and often I just need to get those video moments very quickly. For years I have used phones with the annoying "3GGP" format that is hard to work with often rather then my cheap Kodak camera which records in a more familiar .MOV format.
I am planning on getting a Samsung Epic 4G, and one thing I am attracted to is the 720p camera so I can move up from 480p. A deal-breaker for me might be the format the videos export in because I'll need to bring them to my computer for editing and .MOV or .MP4 is much less of a hassle than 3GGP. Does anyone know what format the Epic 4G exports video in? And if modern Android phones have the same format that it exports with video (just in case I get a different Android phone)?
