Hi, I been trying to burn movies into clean DVD-R and DVD+R using the DivX player but it never plays on DVD players or my ps2/ps3. I am not sure what the problem is, could it be the divX player?
I was trying to find the answer and I found a post that states just burning it to a DVD is not enough, the files format have to be playable too.
If this is true, what could I use that would be able to burn DVD that would be readable in DVD players and ps2 or 3?
Also, is there anyone that had used Sony Vegas Pro or Sony Vegas DVD Architect Pro and tried to burn a DVD? Were those burned DVD readable in your DVD player or playstation?
Thanks for the help.

Hmmm..... What's "DivX player"? Divx is a way to compress video files, and a Divx player is anything that reads files that have been compressed to DivX. It could be a DVD player (like one you hook up to your TV), or like Windows Media player is also a DivX player. So what DivX player are you talking about? Also what are you trying to burn onto a DVD? where did you get the Video file from? your Video Camera? did you download it?

Well whatever the case, in order for a video to be read on a non-DivX DVD player (like PS2 etc.) it has to be in a very specific format. there will be two folders, an audio and a video. If it's not in this format it won't work.

The program I use for this is called ConvertXtoDVD it's pretty good and very very easy to use. I imagine that's what you're looking for.

Sony Vegas Pro can also do this, but it's a program for advanced users. So you'll have a hard time doing it unless you're familiar with the program, or are willing to take the time to figure it out. I used to use Sony Vegas Pro, but I never bothered to put in the time to really figure it out, so I deleted it.
