It seems like looks and hot bodies have replaced "talent". Like seriously, why can't they give someone who can actually SING a chance? I'm not saying this about every celebrity though, because there are still some celebrities that have pretty good talent. Why is it that the most popular celebrities have no talent?
 
The celeb worshipers feed this whole Hollywood thing. If people would stand up and say that they weren't going to follow celebs anymore, then this might go away. But that will never happen.
 
Because despite the fact that people complain about dumb celebrities, most people are morbidly curious about scandals and drama, so the media feeds that appetite by blowing up scandals and drama.

Also, the "image" is very important--talent just doesn't cut it.
 
People today are interested in how other people look. Why? Because a lot of people out there can't afford to buy amazing things like celebs do. So they admire the people of the higher class because they wish it was them on that red carpet. I personally HATE this situation also. Im a beatlmaniac so I tend to stay away from modern pop culture.
