What happens if someone who is already 16 applies for a hardship license and

qualifies? Since, in the state of Texas, a hardship license, if used for persons under 16 and not for a criminal related reason, will turn into a normal license the day the driver turns 16 but they still have to pick up the license from a DMV, what would happen if you were already 16 but still had several months left on your permit of the 6 month holding period, but actually do qualify? Would they just give you your license since you're already 16 or would you have a hardship for the remainder of your holding period?
 
remember how easy it was to ask this question?now wait until 9:30 am,pick up the phone,dial dmv,and repeat.then your answer will be str8 from the horses mouth,soto speak.sometimes you just gotta do that.
 
What would happen can only be answered by either waiting to see what would happen or asking a psychic "What would happen?"
