What happens if you swallow mouthwash?

Might get a stomach ache or something, but it won't really do anything important.

I want to know the scientific explanation, not just you'll die or you need to go to the doctor or whatever.

Also what are the symptoms?

Please don't be worried about me or whatever, just curious.
 
Nothing, it's fairly mild stuff. I've swallowed a mouthful by mistake and felt no ill effects.
 
Nothing will happen. Some mouthwash contains alcohol. That's why they put 'do not swallow' on the bottle.
If you drank a bottle you might throw up but you would be fine and your burps would possibly smell nice.
