What is a better first car? 2002 Bmw 330ci or a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

I am 16, and I want a good first car that will last me, even through college. Both of the cars are on sale for around the same price and both have around the same mileage. These are the only two cars I would want. I know that BMW's have better gas mileage, but if something happens, it cost a lot to repair. But I am a pretty good driver and responsible one. Please help!
 
2004 jeep grand cherokee check if u can find one wz SRT HEMI...and yes dont forget to change exhaust tht will let all drives to turn head n look at ur car ....booom boom
 
The BMW. I might make the "Mopar Nation" mad by saying that Chrysler products just aren't very reliable.
