I know that Buddhists are mostly vegetarian, I'm just not sure if there are any specific dishes I should make? Or if not, any dish would really work. I just need some ideas. Thanks!

Try baked fish, I have not seen a religion yet where it is bad to eat fish, serve it with salad, rice, bread, and soy soup. That way if anybody does not want fish they could still eat the soup, salad, bread, and rice. Serve a selection of hot tea, juice, and water to drink with it. I think baked chicken is the second best choice of meat. Remember that if they are from India Indian food tends to be spicy so you might be able to spice it up a little with some curry, I would google some recipes from India if they are from India to get some ideas.
