What is a good SUV for a beginner driver?

So, I'm getting my liscense soon, and we are going to get me a car. Now, I am looking for an SUV, the only reason we are looking for one is because my mother won't let me drive a little car, if we are getting me a car, it's got to be a SUV.

I'm not goingto buy something new, so any good like crossovers/small SUVs that would suit a beginner driver?

Haha. I remember when I got my lisence. As much as my mom wanted me to get a bigger, safer truck/SUV, I ended up getting the worlds' most cutest sports coupe! The Prelude! Haha.

Let's see. For you, perhaps a Jeep to begin with? There are the Saturn Vues, Toyota Highlanders, Toyota Rav4, Nissan Muranos, and the Ford Edges...
