What is cheaper when traveling from New york city to Mexico? Air, Bus, boat or train?

I want to travel to Mexico and did not want to break my piggy bank doing it.traveling on a plane is easier but more expensive So i was wondering how can i save some money?.. Which way is better the bus...a boat tour..on a bus?
