What is necessary to have a decent home recording studio for rapping and hip hop?

I already have the mic and a good computer. I've heard I'll need a sound card, which I'm going to order soon, but do I need anything else to have a perfessional type set up? If i need anything else, please have a description of what it does, and what it will need to be used for.
