what is the best 600cc motorcycle to get for a first bike?

Hi everyone i am 5 10'' 185lbs and i just took the MSF course. I have no experience other than the course however, I passed the course andI am the type of rider that is more about riding safe than riding fast and pushing my limits. I have read on previous posts to start on a 250cc sport bike but don't want to have to trade it in a year. I would much rather get a 600cc sport bike and learn my limits that way. Does anybody have a suggestion for a lower hp 600cc bike. i have my eye on the sv650 and the fz6r, but am open to all suggestions. Thank you

I learned on a Kawasaki 250 and for my first bike i bought a Suzuki gsx-r 600... If you plan to drive safely, then i would recommend a gsx-r 600. It's a great bike, just be careful...

A 250 Ninja is a GREAT motorcycle, and it's going on to something that you aren't prepared for that is a serious danger to you and everyone else. Just go with a bike that matches your experience.
