What is the fuel economy on a fifth generation chevrolet impala ?

I live in the uk and I'm not car savvy
If I purchased one it would proabaly run on gasoline is it the same as petrol ??
And how many miles will it do to a gallon ??
 
Our gasoline is pretty much the same as your petrol.
We find that such cars can't get better than about 17 or 18 on the open road and 12-13 in town, depending on drivetrain. Turn on the air and it gets worse fast.
Wonderful car to drive. soft comfy ride, over-assisted steering and brakes, will pull a big boat without effort. You'll just love it.
 
Where I live the 5th generation Impala was made between 1971 to 1976. These were big heavy V8 powered cars that sucked a lot of fuel. The earlier models because they were powerful, the later ones because the early emissions systems and first generation catalytic converters really choked the engines and made them run like crap.
