in extraordinary circumstances? What would be the most important and influential position a man in his mid 20's could hold in the government or military? It can be a government position (i.e. cabinet, etc.) but it must involve military or defense or something of the sort. And this is for a fictional story so it can be slightly unrealistic, but for the most part I want it to be theoretically possible.
