What is the word for when someone argues with a point by taking the premise

to its most.......? ....ridiculous conclusion? There is a specific word for it..For example. If someone makes a complaint about levels of traffic on the roads, they might argue back that you wish to ban cars from the road for ever and make everyone ride a bicycle to work, when that is not in fact what you said.

Its a "Fallacy"...there are actually different types...this one is "straw man"

That could be a Strawman argument.

A Strawman is when the person reframes your point into something you didn't actually say.

ex. Obama wants universal healthcare, therefore Obama is a dirty f**king communist b@stard.
