I read it once when I was about 10 years old, but I didn't really understand it. I think it is a murder mystery aimed at adults or age 18-25 etc. From what I remember, a university girl student goes to a writers camp. She likes writing and goes to some camp, hosted by a male writer called Gideon. Sort of like a writers workshop I guess. I believe this girl falls for Gideon or vice versa. There are other students in the camp I think. The story follows the girls writing ideas and affair with Gideon.
There may be a murder(s) in the story.
There is a lady called Rowena (oldish I think). She has something to do with a big house/mansion located near the camp. At the end of the book, one night this house gets set on fire and Rowena is unmasked as the plots antagonist (perhaps murderer but I can't remember if there was murder in the story.
This book has been chasing me but I just have no idea what it is called or who writes it. I google searched keywords like "rowena gideon book murder" etc, but nothing came up.
