What is wrong with my iTouch or charger?!?

So, I have an itouch 4g. and I had it for 1 year already. whenever I charge it, it keeps on beeping several times and it won't stop. (the beep is like, you know whenever you charge an iPhone or so? you here the beep?) and I really get stressed cause of it please help! $:

The beep could be from the email icon or something. I got an iTouch and plugged it in. It would beep every like, 5 minutes or so, very short intervals and so I turned off the sound notifications and the beeping stopped.
