What kind of personality should i give my male lead of my story?

He should be protective of the ones around him. Maybe he has a sister thats a few years younger than him, thats always getting into trouble. Or a bestfriend that he;s in love with, but she's always dating the wrong guys. Or a girlfriend, thats being abused by her father. And with these characters, he should be protective of them. Willing to go to extreme lengths to fight for the ones he loves.

There are some ideas.

Well, what happens in your story?

Someone who prefers to stay at home isn't going to fit too well in an action/adventure story.
Someone whose life revolves around playing football isn't going to fit too well in a romance.
Someone who's desperately shy won't work as the lead character in a story about child actors.
