i recently bought the new macbook white and i had the same problem... however i have very good experience with uTorrent, it downloads music, films, programs, everything, and there are lots of websites with files saved as torrents. it is very small, fast and reliable, however for mac you need to get bit Torrent for macs, but there's not a big difference, it's practically the same.
Torrent it's really great :)
 
...safest and easiest for a Macbook? I looked up whether Limewire was safe, and people said it caused virus'. Sooo, if anyone could help me, that'd be awesome :D
 
safest is frostwire easiest is limewire. i use limewire

and if you want to download songs online, use 4shared.com
 
µtorrent is good because it is a very small program in terms of memory space used. You should then use torrent sites to download your music...
Or then again you could do it the legal way and purchase your music from shops, iTunes or other websites.
