How can this affect peoples outlook on what is stated in the media? any comments. I have a lot of examples but could use some more input. serious comments hint hint no smarty pant comments.

homosexual stereo types are being a "flamer" for homosexual men or butch for homosexual women
among other things too like the erred assumption that all homosexuals are promiscuous.

You ask about "stereo types". My favorite stereo types are high fidelity ones with CD changers and a built in iPod connection or dock. That's what I play my stereo with.

The obvious stereotype is of people who are knowledgable about computers being inept socially unable to maintain a relationship or do anything normal.

Accountants and estate agents are usually shown as dreadful stereotypes

Anyone who doesn't believe in vivisection is a nutcase who doesn't care about people .

Nerds -- that's a stereotype, and there are TONS of examples.

The Big BAng Theory (the TV show) is all about the stereotypes about nerds.

There are a lot of stereotypes about intelligent, well-educated people.

Rich people is another group about which media stereotypes abound.
