What should i get for Christmas? Im shy to ask my mom those expensive gadgets.?

What are the little things that i could get for Christmas? specifically gadgets. Well, i got a new phone and a new laptop just last month because i just reunited with my mom after 8 years and my dad doesn't like me going out with her. He still hates her so much. And my mom wants to get me something. i thought about asking for a kindle or a camera but i dont know. My dad might not like it very much, you know, getting something from my mom which is a thousand times better than what he wants to get me. What should i do? and what should i get?
I know. i know about her being gone for 8 years but she has a reason for it and if i were her, i wouldn't have much of a choice either. Please. Im not asking about my life but a present for christmas.
 
how bout ask her for that 8 years of your life she missed back? that would be better then any gadgets i think
