My bike's crankset came loose and a few of the ball bearings fell out. I need to buy new ball bearings to replace them and I need to know what size they are. Thanks

The balls are cheap. I bought balls for the hubs and it was $0.05 for the front and $0.07 for the back for all of them. You will pay more going online. A good grease tube may be $7. You will have to buy all the balls, not just the ones you are missing as they have small variation in size +- 0.002 of and inch or so from buch to buch but also your balls may have wear and be a bit smaller. #500 are the worse balls, #300 maybe all you need, the lower thenumber the better the quality and the higher the price.

And you will need a tool or two, depending what type you have. This would be a perfect ocassion to check for pitting on the runs and maybe get a new spindle, a sealed one.

If you have a bearing, take it to any bike shop and they can help you out. You will need to replace all of them- just pop them out of the retainers and replace- no big deal. If the retainer is bent then you'll need that as well.

Individual balls are about 5 cents each. Balls and retainers are about $1.50- you'll need 2 of them.
