What size bell boots should my horse wear?

The farrier recommended 24/7 bell boots so she does not pull her shoes off as they hang slightly off the back of her hoof.
She wears a shoe size of 00. Obviously there may be slight variation among different brands, but what size bell boot would most likely be the best fit?
*sigh*
The shoes need to hang off slightly. My horse needs heel support and bending the shoes in would not address the problem properly. It WOULD prevent them from being pulled off, but like I said, would not address the problem properly and would be the lazy farriers way of doing it just so they wouldn't have to come out and reshoe the horse. I don't appreciate the unauthorized advice as you have never even seen the horse and are unaware of the issue we (veterinarian, farrier, and myself) are trying to fix.

Oh dear. Who pissed you off?

I am going to try and help you. Measure your horse's front pasterns around the leg - measure in inches.

Then measure the heel bulb around the hoof and then go to a saddlery and measure some boots and see which would fit snugly and not cause rubs on the heels.

I would say if he were in a Diamond 00 that is a tiny shoe the next size smaller would be a pony size! Any decent farrier would never leave a heel sticking out beyond the heel of the foot and then tell you that you should get bell boots for him. Does he sell bell boots also??

If you have a knowledgeable horse person that you would have look at the horse, If he has left them hanging out long enough to be stepped on by a hind foot, I think he should have to either put on a smaller shoe, curve the heels in or cut off the ends of the shoes.

If the horse is not long legged and has a short back there should be no reason for him to over reach. If he is built more like that then the front shoes should be rolled and short so they will get out of the way sooner.

Good Luck! Don't have a Farrier do your horses if they do it wrong.
