...the dark he... he does? It is a country song by a female. It starts out saying how she wears boots but how some guy wanted her in heels. Then it goes to how she's glad she found somebody who shares her roots. These lyrics are in the chorus: he lets me drive his truck, back it up, go fishing in the dark... he does.
 
The only thing I can think of is Picture to Burn by Taylor Swift, but I don't think that's it.
