what the difference in bitrate from 320-256 etc in mp3 song.?

so many songs with 320 256.
and 192 i think..
I have these 80$. headphone I use and when i play a 320.
Also the music is mostly all rock alternative
It just sound more deeper.
So what the major difference?
 
overall sound quality, something like headphones will not really make that much of a difference compared to a 5.1 stereo, lower bitrates you will notice a hiss or hollowness.

Higher compression rate means truer to the original sound. lower compression rate sounds like it's bouncing of a tin building! Higher is Better!!!
