I purchased a new car about two weeks ago. Shortly after I began driving it, I noticed when attempting to brake, the car acted like it did not want to stop. At other times, the brakes over-applyed when not requested. I took the car back to the dealership, they kept the car for evaluation, and set me up in a rental.
Later that evening, I received a call stating that I would need a new brake booster.
The next day, when I called for a status, I was told that the part is on back order and they have no idea when it will become available. No estimate on when the car can be repaired. The advisor told me that all she can do is check the part status daily and for me to sit tight in the rental. It has been 3 days with no new news.
What would you do in this situation?
