im in an engineering design class for my highschool and i need to pick a type of engineer. snowmobiles intrest me so it might be something for me to look into. does anyone know what that engineer is called?

Mechanical or Design, depending on if you are designing it or creating an engine for it I guess.
Look for jobs at Snowmobile manufacturing plants online and see what the qualifications are. For example, it may say you need a Mechanical Engineering degree.

If you want to try another one, look into water engineers. Something we will always need, no matter what the economy, clean water.

Cities are always looking for qualified water, electrical etc. engineers.

To the best of my knowledge, things like snow mobiles, cars, Space Shuttles.....Is a collaborative effort. I will say though that The Uber Engineer degree?/certificate is the P.E. (Professional Engineer) which, if I have my facts straight, you have to pass an exam on 5 fields of engineering, whew!

i think it would be a branch of automotive engineering, but not sure

Mechanical engineers could design the snowmobile. Actually building it is another field. (Mechanic)

Probably a Mechanical Engineer, could be an automotive engineer (a sub-specialty of mechanical engineer.)
