What did you serve, and what was the occasion? Was it fun? Would you do it again?

(My friend is having a big party this weekend for her 93-y-o dad. She LOVES to entertain and has always thrown lavish parties, doing everything herself. She's getting older and this year, it's too much for her. So all her friends are helping out. I'm to do the baked potatoes and the birthday cake. I'm not used to cooking large amounts of food & I find myself wondering how she did it all those years. She'd often have 50-60 people at once -- it just boggles my mind!)

I once cooked a meal for the entire Chinese army one time. I used about 1,000,000 bags of oodles of noodles, and it only cost me around $998.87. Everyone enjoyed it and it was easy. The hard part was getting the lake to boil, THAT was the challenging part. I would do it again, but would definitely add in some other flavors.
