What would a good way to open an introduction in a scientific report paper?

Hello there. I'm 15 years old. I'm a freshman in Biology Honors, and I had to do an experiment by making a self-sustaining ecosystem in a two liter bottle. Well, now I have to make a scientific report on it, and I'm stuck on the opening paragraph. We cannot start the introduction with a definition of ecology or with the purpose of the project. Can someone help me by giving me an idea?
