What would be a good introduction for my speech on Stem Cells?

I need a gripping introduction for a speech I'm giving on Embryonic Stem Cells. I'm part of a symposium and my portion is specifically embryonic stem cells. My intro has to be 'grabbing' and able to obtain a college classes attention. Any ideas?
