What would be a good quality entry level cyclocross bike?

I am in the proccess of buying an entry level cyclocross and by entry level i mean cheap. Maximum 900 cdn$. If anybody has suggestions on what to get or what to stay away from please leave an answer!!! Or if any one has any personal experiences with an 08 kona jake or 08 rocky mountain cxr your story would be greatly appreciated. THX!
