What would be a good type of gadget/technology that can be used in a museum?

Anything interactive and multisensory that can attract tourists. Something realistic.
 
have exhibits barcoded. then have a modified ipod/mp3 player with a scanning attachment. when someone walks up to an exhibit and wants to learn more, they use their scanner/mp3 player and scan the bar code and start hearing audio about the exhibit.
